PhD student in Genetics and Genomics
Samantha received a B.S. in Bioinformatics with a minor in Computer Science at Brigham Young University in 2018. She now works in the laboratory of Daniel Geschwind studying the pathology of neurological and psychiatric disease. She is interested in applying bioinformatic techniques to complex diseases like neurodegeneration and developmental disorders. She is currently working on analyzing a novel cohort of African Americans diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
